Role Summary

Develop and maintain software tools and libraries that optimize and deploy neural network models for embedded and mobile devices. Work within a distributed AI Software R&D team focused on runtime libraries, SDKs, optimization algorithms and deployment tooling for embedded platforms.

The team collaborates internationally and contributes to research, patents and open-source projects.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement tools, libraries and algorithms in Python to optimize neural network models for embedded/mobile devices.
• Develop deployment, profiling and benchmarking tools for neural networks on embedded/mobile targets.
• Enable audio, vision, generative AI and language models to run efficiently on constrained hardware.
• Contribute to relevant open-source projects and communities.
• Explore research directions, implement proofs-of-concept, and pursue publications or patents.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to co-develop software for AI accelerators.
• Follow security-conscious development practices and support security-related certification activities as required.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills:

• Must-have: Production experience with Python and familiarity with software engineering best practices.
• Must-have: Practical experience with neural networks or machine learning algorithms.
• Ability to profile, benchmark and deploy models on embedded or mobile platforms.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work in distributed teams.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX) and/or compiler technologies.
• Nice-to-have: JavaScript/TypeScript and React or minor GUI development experience.
• Nice-to-have: Open-source contributions and experience with AI accelerator toolchains.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, smart devices and agentic systems; proactive and deadline-oriented work style.

Education Requirements

Academic background in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience. The posting references training/certification opportunities such as IEC61508:2010 or ISO26262:2018.
