Role Summary

Lead enterprise AI strategy and large-scale deployment at Synopsys, partnering with senior leadership to integrate AI across engineering and business workflows. Manage a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and operate AI platforms, models, and data pipelines that drive measurable operational and engineering impact.

Experience Level

Senior — requires substantial experience: the role expects 8+ years building and deploying AI/ML systems, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership or equivalent roles.

Responsibilities

Drive AI adoption and execution across engineering and corporate functions.

• Define and implement AI-enabled workflows for semiconductor design and corporate operations.
• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of AI architects, data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts.
• Design solution architecture, platform alignment, and deployment strategies for generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Run experiments, evaluate model performance, and implement optimizations for scale and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, business units) to ensure scalability, governance, and compliance.
• Communicate technical strategy and results to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Champion responsible AI practices, model governance, and organizational change to adopt AI-driven practices.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills required to succeed in this role.

• Must-have: 8+ years building, scaling, and deploying AI/ML systems; demonstrated track record delivering enterprise-level AI from experiment to production.
• Must-have: 5+ years in senior leadership or equivalent experience leading cross-functional AI and engineering teams.
• Must-have: Deep expertise with modern AI architectures (LLMs, GPT-based systems, RAG, vector search/embeddings) and end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines and MLOps.
• Must-have: Experience with cloud platforms for AI (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized/distributed deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must-have: Strong architectural judgment, vendor/platform evaluation experience, and ability to design scalable production solutions.
• Must-have: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Must-have: Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise data infrastructure, APIs, and security/compliance controls.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with semiconductor design methodologies, EDA tools, or engineering-intensive workflows and domain-specific AI applications.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation implementations, and AI platform productization for engineering tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
