Job Title

ADT Lab Technician β€” Day/Night Shift (Zhubei)

Role Summary

Perform hands-on technician work supporting engineers in lab and test environments. The role focuses on equipment setup, basic measurements and troubleshooting, executing test procedures, and maintaining operational and safety standards.

Works within the Engineering Services Group and routinely collaborates with engineering teams to ensure proper handling, configuration, and documentation of test equipment and components.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Prefer candidates with ~1+ year of relevant technician or semiconductor-industry experience; candidates with a high school diploma plus equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include preparing and maintaining test benches and equipment, executing defined test plans, and documenting results.

  • Set up, transport, install, upgrade, configure and maintain benches, testers, and other lab equipment under supervision.
  • Perform basic measurements following standard operating procedures and document test results and malfunctions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, basic repair, rework, removal, and adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Set up test equipment using hand tools or automated test methods to run routine tests on circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Execute manual and automated test plans, reproduce and debug routine issues, and follow defined test procedures.
  • Follow workplace safety and operational procedures to ensure proper handling of equipment and components.
  • Communicate routine factual information in writing and verbally to team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and physical capabilities for the role.

  • General computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications (preferred 1+ year experience).
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or a related technical field (preferred 1+ year).
  • Ability to perform basic electrical/functional measurements and follow SOPs for tests and documentation.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and willingness to perform hands-on repair and adjustment tasks under supervision.
  • Able to transport and install equipment weighing at least 25 lbs frequently.
  • Works under supervision and follows written directions, manuals, and test procedures.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum: Associate's degree OR High School diploma/equivalent plus 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience. Military training or electronics experience (e.g., electronics-related military rank/experience) is noted as relevant. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
