2nd Shift Manufacturing Test Engineer
Role Summary
Join the electrical test engineering team to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing test solutions for RF, microwave, and mixed-signal products used in aerospace and defense. The role partners with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations to improve product quality, yield, cost, and production efficiency.
This is a 2nd Shift position (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts), fully onsite in Chelmsford, MA, and eligible for shift differential.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Graduate position. No specific years of experience required; this role is suitable for recent graduates or engineers at the start of their manufacturing-test career.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on developing and sustaining manufacturing test capability for complex RF and electronic products.
- Design, develop, implement, and sustain test methods for RF, microwave, and electronic products.
- Develop troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic processes for root-cause identification and resolution.
- Create, improve, and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing test processes.
- Develop and release test procedures and documentation for products transitioning into production.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure manufacturing readiness and test coverage.
- Analyze product performance, yield data, and equipment metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead projects from concept through production launch, meeting quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and manufacturing personnel.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other sites to resolve technical issues.

Must-have
- U.S. Citizen with ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- Knowledge of RF, microwave, analog, or mixed-signal electronics.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret technical data and use data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes).
- Experience supporting manufacturing test operations and NPI.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods; automated test development or test software experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
