Job Title

Yield Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Identify root-cause yield limiters and implement solutions to improve manufacturability and yield across advanced logic process nodes. Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and equipment teams to enable new product introductions, process improvements, and robust operational systems.

This role is eligible for a hybrid work model and is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical background includes substantial hands-on experience in semiconductor process and device development and production support.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze cross-domain data (process, defect, electrical) to identify yield limiters and anomalies.
  • Develop statistical, multivariate, and ML-based models and visualizations for yield analysis and prediction.
  • Design and execute experiments and measurement recipes to validate process changes and product integrity.
  • Drive new product introductions and design-technology co-optimization with factory task forces and design teams.
  • Develop and harden production-capable systems and tools; collaborate with equipment vendors and internal teams.
  • Document procedures, train colleagues, and debug equipment, software, or procedural failures in production environments.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

  • Proven experience in advanced semiconductor devices, process flow, and manufacturability.
  • Strong statistical analysis and data-science skills; experience applying ML techniques and coding to extract insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Experience with yield projection, defect analysis, and building data-driven yield models.
  • Experience developing measurement recipes and running design of experiments (DOE) in a fab environment.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in matrix organizations and manage projects to completion.
  • Ability to develop production-ready tools and collaborate with equipment vendors; strong troubleshooting skills in production settings.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering, physical science, computer science, semiconductor science-related STEM field, or related discipline. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable as specified by the position (the posting states 5+ years' experience with a Master's or 2+ years with a Ph.D.).
