Role Summary
Lead enterprise-level yield and defect engineering programs to integrate AI, automation, and digital platforms across development and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Manage defect metrology strategy, yield systems, and cross-functional execution to improve yield, cycle time, and productivity.

Senior-level; requires 12+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and yield/defect engineering.
Responsibilities
Own strategy, programs, and delivery for yield and defect engineering transformation across sites.
- Define and execute a multi-year strategy for yield, defect metrology, and AI-enabled decision intelligence.
- Lead enterprise programs to transition from reactive analysis to predictive and prescriptive yield management.
- Drive deployment of AI/ML and agentic AI for defect detection, classification, excursion prevention, and root-cause analysis.
- Integrate data platforms, digital twins, and advanced analytics into fab operations and tooling ecosystems.
- Oversee yield performance across development and high-volume manufacturing; lead cross-functional resolution of yield limiters.
- Define defect metrology capability roadmaps and develop scalable defect-management systems.
- Translate executive vision into roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes; influence senior stakeholders.
- Build and develop a multidisciplinary, high-performing team spanning engineering, data science, and automation.
Requirements

- 12+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing with deep expertise in yield engineering, defect metrology, or process integration.
- Proven record leading complex, cross-functional, high-volume manufacturing programs and delivering measurable yield improvements.
- Experience integrating data analytics, machine learning, or AI solutions into engineering workflows and production operations.
- Strong domain knowledge of defect metrology tools, inspection systems, and yield-analysis methodologies.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and align investments, priorities, and organizational focus.
- Experience with digital manufacturing ecosystems (data platforms, MES integration, analytics) preferred.
- Experience with advanced packaging (Foveros, EMIB, heterogeneous integration) is a plus.
- Must consent to and pass an extended background investigation (Position of Trust).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Data Science, or a related field required; advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant technical or data-centric discipline preferred.
