Working Student – Wafer Process Development and Design
Role Summary
Support the failure analysis lab and wafer process development team at Nexperia's Hamburg semiconductor fab. The role provides hands-on exposure to sample preparation, analysis methods, documentation and process development support.
Part-time, on-site position intended to give enrolled students practical semiconductor development experience.
Experience Level
Entry-level (working student). Intended for current university students; early-career position.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare samples for failure analysis and assist with laboratory tasks.
- Support and perform basic analysis methods in the failure analysis lab.
- Review, analyze and document analysis results accurately.
- Support wafer process development activities in the Hamburg fab.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate findings to colleagues.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Hands-on laboratory experience.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail; reliable and conscientious work habits.
- Fluent in German and English, written and verbal.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of semiconductor technology and basic analysis methods.
Education Requirements
Enrolled university student in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or a similar technical field (working-student / current enrollment required).
