Senior Engineer I 286 Process (Fixture Development)
Role Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, and validating process fixtures and tooling to support semiconductor manufacturing at the Mount Holly Springs site. Collaborates with process engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure fixtures meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
Works across prototype and production phases to troubleshoot, improve reliability, and document fixture designs and procedures.
Experience Level
Senior d experienced engineer. Typical candidates have several years of relevant experience in fixture or process development within semiconductor or precision manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and prototype production fixtures, handlers, and test tooling for semiconductor processes.
- Work with process and manufacturing teams to validate fixture performance and transfer designs to production.
- Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions for fixture-related issues.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers, machine shops, and internal teams to manufacture and qualify tooling.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives related to fixturing and handling.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- Must-have: Practical experience designing and building fixtures, jigs, or precision tooling; proficiency with CAD (for example SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and reading engineering drawings; experience in semiconductor process or precision manufacturing environments; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with GD&T, metrology, materials selection, supplier management, and familiarity with production transfer and qualification processes.
