Job Title

Wireless SoC RF Integration and Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Member of Apple's wireless silicon development team responsible for RF integration, calibration, validation and bring-up of wireless SoCs from pre-silicon through productization. Works across hardware and software domains to enable RF characterization, automated test, and mass-production ATE flows.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The posting requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end RF integration, validation and test solutions for wireless SoCs and support productization.

  • Develop and integrate RF DUT control sequences and validate them with emulation/simulation systems.
  • Execute wireless-SoC RF bring-up and initial silicon validation to meet specification and compliance.
  • Design and implement RF block/system calibrations, algorithms, and optimizations.
  • Perform RF performance characterization and optimization (e.g., Psat, IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, return loss).
  • Design RF test benches and implement scripts to control SoC and communicate with test equipment.
  • Analyze large datasets, generate RF performance summaries against chip specs, and diagnose ATE/module failures.
  • Develop RF firmware and automation (Python-based reference scripts, embedded FW) for validation and production.

Requirements

Required skills and experience for immediate contribution; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in RF integration, validation, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF system bring-up and silicon validation.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment and automated test setups.
  • Ability to design test benches, write scripts to control test equipment, and analyze large measurement datasets.
  • Experience developing calibration algorithms and automating calibration/test flows for wafer/module ATE.
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation and data analysis (Python highly desired).
  • Experience with embedded systems and firmware development (C) for RF platforms.
  • Nice-to-have: RF PCB design/debug experience, familiarity with RFIC schematics, and prior automation framework development.

Education Requirements

BS (Bachelor's degree) required. The posting also requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Specific fields of study were not specified.
