Role Summary
Build solutions to improve productivity and efficiency of custom circuit design flows. Work on a cross-functional team to develop scalable, automated VLSI CAD flows and supporting tools.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated VLSI CAD flows and associated scripts.
- Integrate, validate, and tune EDA tools and toolchains for custom circuit design.
- Develop scalable automation frameworks and continuous-integration processes for flows.
- Profile, debug, and optimize flow performance and turnaround time.
- Collaborate with circuit designers, layout engineers, and EDA vendors to resolve tool and flow issues.
- Create and maintain documentation, reproducible environments, and training materials for flows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience working with VLSI CAD/EDA flows and automation.
- Strong scripting skills (for example Python and Tcl) and solid software-engineering practices on Linux.
- Experience integrating and debugging EDA tools and toolchains.
- Familiarity with version control (git) and build/CI systems for automation.
- Effective communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with large-scale automation frameworks and performance tuning of flows.
- Knowledge of CAD toolchain internals (synthesis, placement, routing, signoff).
Education Requirements
MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred; equivalent practical experience in VLSI CAD/EDA automation is acceptable. The posting emphasizes significant experience in VLSI CAD flows.
