Role Summary
Responsible for implementing and maintaining automated optical and AI-based visual inspection systems for semiconductor products at the Sagamihara site. Works with R&D, manufacturing, quality, IT, and equipment suppliers to improve appearance yield and deploy inspection systems across sites.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include deploying, optimizing, and monitoring visual inspection systems and driving yield improvement.
- Install, qualify, and maintain automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
- Develop and optimize rule-based inspection recipes.
- Apply AI and machine learning techniques to visual inspection.
- Analyze inspection data, monitor visual inspection yield, and implement corrective actions.
- Deploy visual inspection systems and best practices to overseas manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and equipment suppliers.
Requirements

- Must-have: Experience implementing automated visual inspection using rule-based methods.
- Must-have: Experience applying AI to visual inspection.
- Experience with AOI system installation, qualification, and recipe development.
- Experience analyzing inspection data and driving yield improvement.
- Fluent Japanese; basic English for email, documentation, and online meetings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Experience deploying systems or processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Preferred: Experience with Python, image processing, machine learning, or data analysis.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in engineering, science, computer science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
