Vice President, Automotive & Embedded Products and Systems
Role Summary
Lead product portfolio, roadmap, and systems strategy for Micron's Automotive & Embedded Business Unit (AEBU). Accountable for product definition, lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and cross-functional execution across automotive and embedded DRAM, NAND, SSD, and system-level solutions.
This executive role drives product and systems innovation for automotive and embedded markets and builds a global organization of product, systems, and technical leaders.
Experience Level
Senior β 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, with product management, portfolio strategy, or systems leadership.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include defining strategy, leading teams, engaging customers, and ensuring cross-functional execution:
- Define and own product strategy, multi-generation roadmaps, and end-to-end product lifecycle from definition through high-volume production and end of life.
- Optimize portfolio, perform SKU rationalization, and align node strategy to improve profitability and execution efficiency.
- Translate customer, regulatory, and functional-safety requirements into scalable, differentiated product and system solutions.
- Engage with OEMs, Tier-1s, and ecosystem partners; provide product evangelism and contribute to TAM assessment, segmentation, and platform strategy.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to align roadmaps, validation/qualification, and disciplined execution.
- Lead and develop a global organization of product, systems, and technical leaders; build succession pipelines and support critical talent acquisition and retention.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 15+ years of leadership in the semiconductor industry focused on product management, portfolio strategy, or systems leadership.
- Deep understanding of memory and storage technologies and automotive quality and qualification processes.
- Proven ability to influence and lead across global, matrixed organizations with strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Ability to align product roadmaps with business priorities and drive execution discipline.
Preferred:
- Experience managing businesses with billion-scale revenue portfolios.
- Direct experience with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Track record of transforming roadmaps, making portfolio tradeoffs, and building senior technical teams across regions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.
