Verification Infrastructure Engineer β Testbench Architecture
Role Summary
Lead design and modernization of functional verification infrastructure for next-generation AMD microprocessor (Zen) programs. Work with architecture, CPU design, RTL verification and CAD teams to define, implement and maintain scalable verification frameworks and testbenches.
Responsible for improving verification methodology, developing reusable C++ libraries and driving infrastructure automation to increase verification productivity and quality.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, development, and deployment of verification infrastructure and mentorship of verification teams.
- Lead transformation and modernization of Zen architecture verification infrastructure.
- Architect, develop, and maintain reusable C++ verification libraries for stimulus generation, model checking, and scalable workflows.
- Drive productivity improvements via standardized verification frameworks and automation.
- Lead strategic infrastructure initiatives, including AVF replacement and next-generation testbench modernization.
- Collaborate with CPU architecture, RTL/design, verification and CAD teams to deploy scalable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve verification efficiency, maintainability, and validation quality across programs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, training, and documentation for verification methodology and roadmaps.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience relevant to verification infrastructure engineering.
- Must-have: Strong experience in CPU, SoC, or IP design verification and modern DV methodologies.
- Must-have: Proven development of verification infrastructure, frameworks, and reusable libraries using C++.
- Must-have: Experience with stimulus generation, model checking, reference model development, and verification automation.
- Must-have: Strong software engineering practices: object-oriented design, code quality, version control, and CI.
- Must-have: Experience supporting complex processor or microarchitecture development from concept through product execution.
- Must-have: Excellent collaboration, communication, and technical leadership skills influencing cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AVF analysis, resilience/validation methodologies, or AVF replacement efforts.
- Nice-to-have: Prior experience simplifying verification flows and driving measurable productivity improvements.
Education Requirements
