Job Title

Verification Engineer - PCIe

Role Summary

Verify the design and implementation of PCIe controllers at the IP and sub-system level for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Build verification infrastructure, develop tests and coverage-driven environments, and collaborate with architects, designers and silicon teams to ensure correctness.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 2+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system level using industry verification methodologies.
  • Design and implement reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification.
  • Define verification scope, develop test plans, create tests, and build the verification infrastructure and testbenches.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Use simulation and debug tools to analyze failures and close coverage gaps.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Experience: 2+ years in semiconductor verification at unit, sub-system or SoC level.
  • Languages: Verilog and SystemVerilog for verification and testbench development.
  • Methodologies: Functional coverage-based constrained-random verification; experience with UVM/VMM.
  • Protocol verification: Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (e.g. PCIe, USB, SATA).
  • Tools: Exposure to industry-standard simulation and debug tools.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above).
  • Advanced SystemVerilog testbench development skills.
  • Scripting or programming experience (Perl, Python, or similar).
  • Strong debugging, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. (engineering) is specified. The posting also requires 2+ years of relevant experience. No specific field-of-study, certifications, or explicit "equivalent experience" language was provided.
