Job Title

Verification Engineer - PCIE

Role Summary

Verify design and implementation of PCI Express controllers at the IP and sub-system levels for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon verification teams to ensure correctness and readiness for tape-out and silicon validation.

This work impacts NVIDIA product lines across graphics, automotive, and AI platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early-career. Requires 2+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute verification activities for PCIe controller IP and subsystems; build and maintain verification infrastructure and reusable components.

  • Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models, and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system levels.
  • Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
  • Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and implement verification infrastructure.
  • Execute regressions, collect coverage, debug failures, and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to close verification tasks and issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years of verification experience at unit, sub-system, or SoC level using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (examples: PCI Express, USB, SATA).
  • Experience developing and running coverage-driven, constrained-random verification environments.
  • Experience with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and exposure to industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
  • Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above).
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog testbench development.
  • Scripting or software skills (Perl, Python, or similar).
  • Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. required (the posting specifies B.Tech./M.Tech. with 2+ years of relevant experience). Fields of study were not specified in the posting and no explicit "or equivalent practical experience" clause was provided.
