Job Title

Verification Engineer - PCIe

Role Summary

Verify the design and implementation of PCIe controllers at the IP and sub-system level for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Build verification infrastructure and tests, and collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to ensure correctness and coverage.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Level - Entry or Early Career). The posting requests candidates with approximately 2+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on functional verification and test infrastructure for PCIe controller IP and sub-systems.

  • Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system level.
  • Design and build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards.
  • Implement coverage-driven verification: define scope, create test plans, develop tests and verification infrastructure, and execute verification campaigns.
  • Debug failures, analyze coverage and correctness, and iterate on tests and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and preferred skills.

  • Verification experience at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Background verifying IP or interconnect protocols (examples: PCI Express, USB, SATA).
  • Experience developing functional-coverage based constrained-random verification environments.
  • Experience with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and exposure to industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3+), proficiency in SystemVerilog testbench development, scripting skills (Perl, Python or similar), and strong debugging/analytical abilities.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree. The posting specifies B.Tech./M.Tech. and requests approximately 2+ years of relevant experience.
