Job Title

Verification Engineer - AI/ML

Role Summary

As a verification engineer on Arm's AI/ML hardware team you will develop and validate RTL for machine learning and neural network IP, collaborating with global design centers to deliver next-generation silicon IP. The role focuses on simulation-based verification, verification strategy, and owning complex verification work packages. (Location: Lund, Sweden; hybrid working.)

Experience Level

Mid-level. Suitable for engineers with several years of digital verification experience; multiple experience levels may be considered.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute simulation-based verification plans for ML/NN RTL.
  • Define verification strategy, write tests using constrained-random methodologies and UVM/SystemVerilog.
  • Measure and improve coverage metrics and verification quality.
  • Debug RTL and verification environments; triage and resolve design issues.
  • Collaborate with global design teams and take ownership of complex work packages.
  • Contribute to CI, version control workflows, and verification automation.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Experience with simulation-based RTL verification, constrained-random verification, coverage-driven verification; familiarity with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Must-have: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; effective team communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Team lead or mentoring experience; formal verification experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with C/C++ microarchitectural models, familiarity with Arm architecture and AMBA protocols.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with requirements definition/management, CI platforms, version control, and practical ML/neural network knowledge.
