Job Title

Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify chiplet-level integration and SoC logic for Tenstorrent digital IP within a System-in-Package, collaborating with global teams and external partners. Ensure system functionality and performance through verification planning, test development, and cross-team coordination.

Role is based in Tokyo, Japan with a flexible hybrid work style.

Experience Level

Senior — this role expects over 10 years of verification experience and includes lead/mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Key duties include verification planning, testbench and infrastructure development, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Verify digital IP and SoC logic at the chiplet-integration level using industry-standard verification methodologies.
  • Develop and improve verification infrastructure: model builds, simulation and regression runs.
  • Create testbenches, checkers, test generators, assertions, and coverage.
  • Build verification test plans for subsystems; implement test suites, summarize results, and share feedback with stakeholders.
  • Publish verification metrics and drive convergence toward tape-out.
  • Collaborate with architects, software, design, and emulation teams across regions.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills.

  • Proven CPU or SoC verification experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience with verification flows, scripting, and automation.
  • Good knowledge of logic design.
  • Experience with Verilog / v2k / SystemVerilog.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; good English (written and spoken).
  • Employment may be contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; citizenship/permanent residency or prior license approval may be required.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of RISC-V, machine learning, die-to-die integration, memory controllers, PCIe, UCIe.
  • Experience with low-level drivers and firmware in C.
  • Fluency in Japanese and/or a valid Japanese work visa.

Education Requirements

Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
