Verification AI Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver AI-powered solutions and automation to improve semiconductor verification productivity and workflows. Work with Product Engineering, R&D, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI, orchestration, and automation into verification tools and processes.

Position is part of the Korea Synopsys Verification team and focuses on enabling intelligent verification workflows, integrations with engineering tools, and scalable AI-assisted solutions.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and develop AI-driven solutions to improve verification engineering productivity.
• Integrate AI technologies with verification and engineering tools to enable intelligent workflows and automation.
• Evaluate and apply modern AI approaches (LLMs, agents, RAG, MCP, workflow orchestration) to verification problems.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, and global teams to identify challenges and turn them into scalable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for AI-driven initiatives across verification domains.
• Contribute to improving tool usability, debugging flows, and regression automation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with semiconductor verification methodologies and flows (simulation, coverage closure, debug, regression).
• Practical experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
• Proficiency in programming for automation and engineering applications (Python or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills applicable to complex verification problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across global, cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have / plus:

• Familiarity with static or formal verification and verification automation frameworks.
• Experience applying AI/ML, LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG systems, MCP, or workflow automation to engineering workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is specified, with 10+ years of relevant industry experience. MS or PhD is preferred. (Education and years of experience are explicitly stated in the posting.)
