Validation Engineering Manager

Role Summary

Manage validation activities for the High Speed Data Converter team in Dallas, focusing on customer solutions involving ultra-high power-density modules with integrated power stages, multiphase controllers, inductors, and input/output capacitors. The role leads the validation engineering effort to develop test tools, validate margins, troubleshoot field issues, and feed customer cases back into the design and DV environments.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on validation work, test development, and close collaboration with design and verification teams.

  • Lead and coordinate validation engineering activities for customer power-solution platforms.
  • Develop tools and techniques to effectively mimic customer SoC behavior, including transient test tools.
  • Confirm functional and parametric margins using customer-provided test platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to end-customer power solutions.
  • Work closely with design and DV teams to incorporate lessons from customer cases into the DV environment.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in validation or characterization engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in analog power engineering.
  • Experience validating customer solutions using high-power-density power modules and integrated power stages.
  • Hands-on experience developing transient/SoC-mimic test tools and using customer test platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for power systems and board-level interactions; proven collaboration with design and DV teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required. The job also specifies a minimum of 5 years post-progressive experience in validation/characterization engineering and at least 3 years in analog power engineering.
