This role involves hands-on measurement, automated test systems, test-fixture and lab-board design, and cross-functional result reviews to improve product quality and test efficiency.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career - role is targeted at candidates with initial hands-on lab or validation experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field. (Suitable for new graduates and those with limited industry experience.)
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include bench validation of analog ICs, automation of measurements, and collaboration across functions.
- Define and execute silicon validation strategies for precision amplifiers.
- Develop, run, and analyze bench measurements using LabVIEW, Python and TestStand.
- Operate benchtop equipment and automated systems (including PXI) to collect high-precision AC/DC data.
- Design test fixtures and lab boards to meet precision measurement and automation requirements.
- Review results and report findings in cross-functional teams (Design, Test, System Engineering).
- Implement continuous improvement in data collection and test automation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and language ability; preferred skills that increase impact are listed separately.
- Must-have: Practical experience in analog measurement techniques and hands-on bench work.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and advanced analog circuits (op amp behavior and architectures).
- First experience with bench test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on lab environment and perform device-level measurements.
- Fluent in English and German, or committed to achieving fluency.
