Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The Validation Engineer will be part of the Connectivity Business Unit, focusing on the pre-silicon and post-silicon functional validation of SoCs, including peripherals and ROM firmware. The team is expanding into the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) domain and plays a key role in gathering FPGA requirements and delivering quality FPGA builds.

Experience Level

Senior (5+ years of experience required)

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting pre-silicon and post-silicon functional validation of SoCs.
  • Developing test plans and test suites from scratch.
  • Debugging issues using Cadence Palladium and FPGA boards.
  • Building FPGA bit files for SoCs.
  • Collaborating with various teams to collect FPGA requirements.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • Good understanding of ARM core-side debug architecture.
  • Proficiency in using TI CCS tools.
  • Strong debugging skills on Cadence Palladium and FPGA boards.
  • Experience in silicon debug using hardware scopes.
  • Knowledge of serial protocols like I2C, I2S, CAN, SPI, and UART.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required.
