Role Summary

Perform engineering, development, and test automation for ASIC silicon validation across process, voltage and temperature. Implement and maintain automation for system-level test (SLT) handlers and integrate automation with existing validation infrastructure and test content.

The role works within the validation engineering team to ensure reliable automated test-flow execution, collect and analyze test data, and support continuous improvement of validation systems.

Entry-level / Early career — requires approximately two years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Principal duties include designing, deploying, and operating automation for silicon validation and test infrastructure.

• Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions for ASIC silicon validation across PVT (process, voltage, temperature).
• Automate and maintain SLT handler systems to ensure reliable execution and expected test results.
• Integrate automation systems with validation test infrastructure and test content.
• Collaborate with validation test engineers to collect and automate test flows for board farms and handlers.
• Execute testing and validate automated test-flow reliability and performance.
• Collect, analyze, and report data from board farms and handlers to monitor performance, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug validation systems and SoC validation/verification problems.
• Travel up to ~5% (approximately one week per year) as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

• Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in system validation, functional testing, troubleshooting, SoC validation/verification, and debugging.
• Experience developing test automation and integrating automation with lab infrastructure (board farms, handlers).
• Hands-on experience with SLT/handler automation and test-flow execution.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting test data to diagnose issues and monitor system performance.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills in a validation environment.
• Experience in roles such as Systems Test Engineer or Member of Technical Staff, or closely related positions.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent in a related field. (The posting also specifies two years of relevant professional experience.)
