UVM Verification Specialist for ASIC and/or FPGA Development
Role Summary
Join the verification team to develop and execute UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments for complex ASIC and large FPGA projects, primarily in telecom. The role focuses on IP block verification, multi-clock-domain verification, coverage closure, and using formal methods to ensure functional correctness.
Experience Level
Mid-level - minimum 5 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA verification.
Responsibilities
Deliver verification solutions for ASIC/FPGA designs and collaborate with design teams to achieve coverage and correctness targets.
- Develop and run UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and verification environments.
- Create and execute test plans, including directed and constrained-random tests.
- Verify IP blocks and multi-clock-domain designs; close functional and code coverage.
- Apply formal verification techniques and write immediate and concurrent assertions.
- Debug failures in simulation/emulation and identify root causes under tight schedules.
- Maintain and extend coverage models and verification infrastructure.
- Collaborate with RTL designers to resolve functional issues and integrate verification components.
Requirements
Key must-have technical skills and practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on ASIC/FPGA verification experience.
- Strong expertise in UVM methodology and SystemVerilog.
- Proven experience with complex ASIC or large FPGA designs and IP block verification.
- Experience with multi-clock-domain verification and creating comprehensive coverage models.
- Knowledge and practical use of formal verification tools and techniques.
- Ability to write immediate and concurrent assertions.
- Experience developing verification testbenches from scratch.
- Familiarity with common protocols: AXI, AXIS, Avalon-MM, Avalon-ST, AHB, APB, Ethernet.
- Analytical, results-oriented, able to work independently and in teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with C, emulation, Python, Perl, Bash and/or HLS.
- Strong constrained-randomization skills.
- Telecom domain experience.
