UVM SystemVerilog Verification Engineer

Responsible for developing and executing UVM-based verification plans to validate AirSpan's ASIC and FPGA designs for 4G/5G network products. The role works with design and development teams to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability meet specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include functional verification, automation, and defect resolution for digital and FPGA designs.

  • Develop and implement UVM-based verification plans and test strategies for FPGA/ASIC designs.
  • Create testbenches, test cases, and automation frameworks in SystemVerilog.
  • Perform functional, system-level, and regression testing; analyze results and debug issues.
  • Collaborate with design teams to isolate and resolve defects.
  • Maintain documentation and reports on test procedures, results, and defect tracking.
  • Optimize test processes and tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

  • Extensive experience with UVM and SystemVerilog for verification.
  • Experience verifying FPGA systems and digital hardware components.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as ModelSim or QuestaSim.
  • Scripting experience for automation (Python or Perl).
  • Experience with C/C++ and implementing bit-accurate models; DSP debugging experience.
  • Familiarity with coverage metrics, debugging tools, and formal verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of O-RAN architecture and protocols for 4G/5G networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience verifying communication protocols.
  • FPGA development and HDL experience (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Hardware/software co-verification and general design experience.

Education Requirements
