Job Title

UCIe Applications Engineer, Staff

Role Summary

Provide technical leadership to customers integrating UCIe IP into ASIC/SoC designs. Support integration, simulation, silicon bring-up, documentation, and cross-functional coordination with R&D to ensure IP performance and successful product delivery.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role is staff/senior in scope and targets highly experienced engineers; the posting references roughly 10+ years of ASIC design/verification/applications engineering experience while also listing a minimum of 5 years for related roles.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include customer-facing integration support, technical guidance, and collaboration with R&D.

  • Guide customers through integration of UCIe IP into ASIC SoC designs and systems, addressing technical and process challenges.
  • Advise on IP configuration, simulation, synthesis, floorplanning, static timing analysis (STA), and DFT strategies.
  • Conduct integration reviews at key SoC development milestones to ensure IP performance and compatibility.
  • Deliver training and workshops on UCIe specifications and integration best practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D to develop application notes, technical collateral, and product improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Support simulation, silicon bring-up, and hands-on debugging of silicon and FPGA/hardware.
  • Represent the company at industry events and build long-term partnerships with customers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; advantages are indicated where appropriate.

  • 5+ years experience in ASIC/Analog PHY design or applications engineering at advanced technology nodes; role targets senior-level engineers.
  • Hands-on expertise in mixed-signal and high-speed interface design and integration.
  • ASIC front-end and/or back-end implementation experience including simulation, synthesis, floorplanning, and DFT.
  • Strong knowledge of EDA tools and methodologies; experience with place-and-route (P&R), physical verification, and signal/power integrity is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot silicon and FPGA/hardware.
  • Familiarity with Die-to-Die interconnect and protocols such as PCIe or CXL is a significant advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience leading customer technical reviews and workshops.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (specified in the posting).
