Role Summary

Senior software engineer on the Penang FPGA software team responsible for device data modeling and customer-facing tools. The role builds, validates, and tests software and RTL-simulation solutions that support FPGA products and customers.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on FPGA device modeling, tool development, and cross-discipline verification.

• Work with complex FPGA device data modeling.
• Develop and maintain customer-facing tools (e.g., BitGen, IBIS, SSN, Power Calculator).
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver production-quality solutions.
• Solve hardware and software modeling challenges and debug simulations.
• Build, validate, and test solutions in software and RTL simulation environments.
• Contribute to a fast-paced FPGA development organization and support customer needs.

Requirements

• Must-have: Expert-level C++ with solid object-oriented design skills; strong Python scripting ability; experience running and debugging Verilog/VHDL simulations with tools such as ModelSim or VCS; experience in database modeling and input-collateral standardization; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in teams and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; ability to pass background and reference checks and right to work in Malaysia.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with FPGA software modeling, prior experience developing customer-facing FPGA tools, and experience with RTL simulation flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field is specified; the posting indicates 10+ years of software development engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
