TPC Arch Intern, GPU SM - 2027
Role Summary
Intern position on the TPC (Thread Processing Cluster) architecture team in Shanghai. The role focuses on performance and functional modeling, validation, and analysis of GPU shader (SM) architecture.
You will collaborate with the US team to design and evaluate SM features, implement simulation models and tests, and debug on simulators, RTL, and silicon.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship suitable for students or early-career engineers (internship / 0β3 years).
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Investigate and propose architecture ideas based on quantitative studies of current and projected SM designs.
- Develop performance and functional simulation models of GPU SM components.
- Create performance and functional test plans and tests to validate new SM architecture and features.
- Test and debug on simulators, RTL, and real silicon.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills:
- Must-have: Proficient in C++.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with performance/functional modeling, profiling, and analysis.
- Nice-to-have: Practice with trace-driven and execution-driven simulation model development.
- Preferred: Experience with GPU shader unit design, microprocessor design, or CPU/GPU performance analysis.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a B.S. (BSEE or BSCSE). An M.S. or Ph.D. is a plus.
