Role Summary

The Chip Methodology and Automation (CMA) team develops tools and methodologies to be used across multiple engineering sites globally, including locations in the UK, India, France, Canada, and the US.

Experience Level

Mid-Career level position requiring proficiency in engineering methodologies and an understanding of the software development cycle.

Responsibilities

As a member of the CMA Applications Engineering team, you will:

  • Deploy, train, and support internal engineering flows for tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective use of verification and design flows.
  • Manage issues with EDA tools by liaising with vendors and resolving challenges that teams encounter.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of engineering flows, enabling project teams to succeed.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of Design or Verification flows used in SoC development.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python or Perl, along with familiarity with version control systems like Git or Gerrit.
  • Understanding of database applications relevant to engineering workflows.
  • Strong communication capabilities.

Education Requirements

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, with relevant experience in engineering design flows.
