Testsite Engineer, Quantum

Role Summary

Design, develop and use in-house testsite chips to characterize and understand semiconductor technology for quantum applications. Work within a cross-functional engineering team to design chip elements, run electrical tests and analyze data to optimize technology and support development efforts.

Experience Level

Senior. Typical experience guidance: BS + 8–10 years, MS + 7+ years, or PhD + 5+ years.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include design, testing and analysis of in-house chips to extract electrical data and support technology development.

• Design and develop in-house testsite chips to characterize technology.
• Create chip elements to enable extraction of electrical measurements.
• Process and evaluate customer designs for mask generation.
• Plan and execute electrical tests and analytics to interpret device behavior.
• Analyze data and iterate on designs to optimize performance.
• Lead complex technical projects and mentor junior staff as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners/suppliers.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution:

• Proven experience developing and testing in-house silicon/testsite chips.
• Strong skills in electrical test planning, data analysis and device characterization.
• Experience evaluating customer designs and preparing mask data.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects and work across sites.
• Track record of technical innovation; publications or patents are a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Requires a technical (University) degree. Typical combinations of degree and experience: Bachelors degree + 810 years, Masters degree + 7+ years, or PhD + 5+ years. Exceptions may be approved by local HR.
