Test Solutions Engineer

Role Summary

As a Test Solutions Engineer on the NAND Flash test team you will own development and release of wafer and package functional test programs. You will work with test solutions, production, and process teams to ensure test readiness for new product introductions and high-volume manufacturing.

Primary goals: ensure program quality, reduce test time and cost, and improve device yield and reliability.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include creating and validating test programs, optimizing test flow, and supporting production:

  • Develop and maintain wafer and package functional test strategies and programs for NAND Flash products.
  • Collaborate with test solutions engineering and production engineering to ensure program, infrastructure, and system readiness for NPI and HVM.
  • Improve device yield, reliability, and quality through test condition optimization and advanced redundancy analysis.
  • Optimize test equipment hardware and implement test-time reduction methodologies to lower cost and cycle time.
  • Provide engineering support to process and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Release validated test programs to production in a timely manner.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness while complying with standards and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled and process enhancements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional attributes, followed by preferred (nice-to-have) items.

  • Must-have: Strong programming skills in C, C++ or Python.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across levels.
  • Must-have: Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of semiconductor device physics.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Internship or prior experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Nice-to-have: Demonstrated leadership and a track record of measurable impact.
  • Nice-to-have: Interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
