Test Software Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Summer internship reporting to the Director of Test & Automation Engineering. Implement and integrate hardware/software solutions for production test stations to support manufacturing test and validation.

The position is based at Hiefo Corporation in Alhambra, CA and works with test automation, production test systems, and device design engineering teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship; targeted at current undergraduate students (junior level) pursuing a technical degree.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on extending and maintaining production test systems and supporting manufacturing test activities.

• Augment and update production test systems with new test features and support software development engineers on test system integration.
• Collaborate with device design engineering to translate performance requirements into production test specifications.
• Analyze manufacturing test failures: troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrections on production test stations.
• Support hardware/software integration and testing activities in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Essential skills and attributes for the role.

• Proficient in at least one programming language: Visual Basic, C#/C++, or Python.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Available for a summer internship and able to work onsite in Alhambra, CA.

Education Requirements

Current undergraduate student (minimum junior level) pursuing a degree in engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related technical field. No specific certifications required; enrollment in a technical degree program is expected.
