Test Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Join the NVIDIA Networking team to define and implement reliability stress tests for network silicon ICs (Switch, NIC, SmartNIC) and drive their transfer from design to mass production. The role works across silicon design, test engineering, hardware, backend and production teams to ensure IC reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical guidance: 3+ years relevant experience in IC test development.
Responsibilities
The primary focus is development and execution of accelerated reliability tests and supporting hardware/software needed to validate IC longevity and production readiness.
- Design and implement accelerated IC stress tests and reliability test programs.
- Lead IC reliability activities across product lines and technologies.
- Develop and debug test patterns, investigate HW-related failures, and triage issues with design and test teams.
- Collaborate with DFT, analog/digital design, backend, system and product engineering, production test and HW teams.
- Define and integrate system-level testing for accelerated life tests and production validation.
- Improve test methodologies, procedures and automation to increase test coverage and throughput.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful performance in this role.
- 3+ years of experience in IC test development.
- Experience with UltraFlex or other IC testers and HTOL ovens.
- Strong problem-solving skills, methodical debugging and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage multiple tasks.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of IC testing and DFT techniques.
- Familiarity with board design and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
