Test or Validation Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Join a test/validation engineering team supporting new product development, yield improvement, cost reduction, and product qualification for assigned TI product lines. The intern role contributes to test development, troubleshooting, and cross-functional product support within manufacturing and product engineering teams.
Onsite positions available in Dallas, TX; Tucson, AZ; Knoxville, TN; and Phoenix, AZ.
Experience Level
Entry-level intern position for current undergraduate or graduate students.
Responsibilities
Work under engineering mentorship to support product test and validation activities across the product lifecycle.
- Test and troubleshoot product and test-system issues.
- Develop production and characterization test specifications.
- Create and manage product documentation.
- Support product development by interfacing with design, test, and quality engineering groups.
- Design, debug, and correlate test hardware and software.
- Design interface and measurement circuits to match tester capabilities to product definitions.
- Participate in qualification, manufacturing, cost optimization, and quality problem resolution.

- Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employer will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: strong verbal and written communication; analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams; initiative and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with bench-level test equipment (DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Experience or coursework with LabVIEW, Spoffire, MATLAB, Java, C++, or similar programming/tools.
- Background or coursework in semiconductor processing, process control methodology, or device failure analysis is a plus.
Education Requirements
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher expected.
