Digital Design Intern - Spring 2027
Role Summary
Internship on the digital design team supporting implementation, verification, and documentation of digital logic for ASIC/SoC projects. Work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with verification, physical design, and validation teams to enable project execution.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current students; no prior professional experience required beyond relevant coursework, labs, or project work.
Responsibilities
Primary duties while interning on the digital design team.
- Contribute to digital design implementation, checks, simulations, and documentation.
- Assist with coding, reviewing, and debugging digital logic under senior engineer guidance.
- Collaborate with verification, physical design, and validation teams to support project milestones.
- Maintain clear design records, test results, and technical documentation.
- Support engineering quality, learning, and team-oriented development processes.
Requirements
Must-have skills and candidate expectations.
- Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; willingness to learn quickly.
- Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Eligibility note: interns must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term (see Education Requirements for details).
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline. Must be enrolled and returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term (interns graduating prior to May 2027 should apply to entry-level full-time roles).
