Test Manager - Precision Analog to Digital Converters (PADC)

Role Summary

Manage planning, development and implementation of test procedures for precision ADC products and lead a team of test and product engineers. Drive test strategy, production test optimization, failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enable product qualification and manufacturing release.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. Requires 5+ years of relevant analog test experience and at least 2 years of leadership or people-management experience.

Responsibilities

The manager will define and execute test strategy for precision ADC products and ensure efficient, high-quality production tests.

• Lead and develop a test engineering team; manage personnel performance and skills development.
• Define test strategies for precision 24-bit ADCs and related integrated features (amplifiers, references, LDOs, temperature sensors, DACs, embedded processors).
• Develop and implement tester-agnostic, design-centric test methods and production test programs.
• Optimize production test programs for cost, test time reduction, and yield improvement.
• Drive Design for Test (DFT), design verification, failure analysis and product qualification activities.
• Translate defect-driven test suites into scalable production solutions that validate specifications.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes, and present clear conclusions to internal stakeholders.
• Recommend and specify test equipment purchases and improvements to test procedures and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Design, Validation, Product, Applications, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability teams on new product development and production release.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role; preferred items indicate added value.

• Must-have: 5+ years of relevant analog test experience; 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Must-have: Proven track record of planning and executing multiple test development and cost-reduction projects.
• Must-have: Broad experience with test platforms and test technologies; advanced use of Advantest and/or Teradyne/Eagle ATE.
• Must-have: Strong hardware debugging, failure analysis, and data-driven problem solving skills.
• Must-have: Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to present technical analysis to internal teams.
• Preferred: Track record of innovation in test methods and experience with ADC test/validation methodologies and debugging.
• Preferred: Experience working with demanding customers and delivering on-time project results in fast-paced environments.
• Preferred: Strong time management, initiative, and ability to build influential relationships across functions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
