Test Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Join a test engineering team supporting High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, or Connectivity and Sensors business groups. The intern will develop automated test software, support fixture and probe card activities, perform RF and electrical measurements, and help document and analyze test data.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current college students; position intended for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

• Create automated test software (C-like languages) to control equipment and execute test plans.
• Support RF fixture and probe card design: PCB layout, test socket and interface cabling design.
• Measure product performance using DC source/measure units, spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, and digital pattern generators.
• Process, verify and analyze measured data; prepare concise reports and presentations.
• Document test systems and software designs.
• Develop measurement automation using C++, C#.NET, or NI LabVIEW and custom tools.
• Develop product interface fixtures using Altium Designer and Keysight ADS.

Requirements

Must-have skills and conditions:

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (examples: VB.NET, C#).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good verbal and written communication skills; self-starter.
• Effective organizational and planning skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program (BS/MS/PhD). Preferred fields: Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Minimum GPA: 3.0. Coursework in analog/RF circuit design is expected.
