Job Title

Test Engineer, Interface

Role Summary

Work on probe and final test development, qualification, and manufacturing support for analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits targeting Automotive and Industrial markets. The role collaborates with design, test, manufacturing, quality and reliability teams to develop ATE hardware and software, execute characterization and qualification, and optimize manufacturing yield and test time.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” minimum 5 years of relevant experience (production ATE and product engineering experience preferred).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on test development, qualification, and manufacturing support for analog/mixed-signal ICs.

  • Develop ATE test hardware and software for probe and final test; support qualification hardware development.
  • Perform qualification and characterization to verify devices meet product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze yield fallout and perform statistical analysis to debug and resolve yield issues; optimize test time.
  • Collaborate with design, applications, marketing, manufacturing, quality, reliability and failure analysis to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Work with process and package technology development to qualify technologies for manufacturing facilities.
  • Support global manufacturing sites on product quality, yield management and cost reduction for mature products.
  • Investigate customer returns and implement process/test coverage improvements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in ATE and product/test engineering.
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle (ETS88, ETS364, ETS800) or equivalent analog ATE (V93K, J750HD, UFLEX); Eagle experience preferred.
  • Production ATE test program and hardware development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic devices, circuits and analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis experience using Spotfire or equivalent tools working with STDF.
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, source-measure units, loads).
  • Experience with product transfer, yield improvement, and test time reduction activities.
  • Good understanding of the IC product development process from concept to volume production.

Nice-to-have:

  • Mixed-signal test development experience on ETS88/ETS364/ETS800 platforms.
  • Programming/scripting skills (C++, Python, C#).
  • Familiarity with JEDEC and AEC qualification test requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and time-management skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required (Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree).
