Test Engineer (Fresh Masters)
Role Summary
Design and validate automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for analog and mixed-signal semiconductor ICs. The role covers test strategy, ATE hardware interface design, test program development, device characterization, and silicon qualification.
Experience Level
Entry-level — 0–3 years of semiconductor IC testing experience on ATE.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing test solutions and supporting silicon qualification.
- Create robust, cost-effective IC test strategies covering platform, hardware, software, and instrumentation.
- Design ATE hardware interface PCBs and implement test programs for IC testing and characterization.
- Debug and bring up ATE test solutions for analog and mixed-signal devices; perform bench correlation.
- Execute parametric tests on ATE with strong defect-screening focus.
- Investigate device and test-setup issues and drive closure independently.
- Analyze silicon results, perform statistical analysis, identify root causes for yield fall-outs, and support failure analysis.
- Support silicon qualification activities, including qualification hardware development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure device success.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills.
- 0–3 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor IC testing on ATE.
- Experience with ATE hardware PCB design and interfacing.
- Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.
- Experience with analog testers such as Teradyne ETS-88, ETS-364, or equivalent ATE platforms.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to perform statistical analysis on silicon data.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in electronic engineering or a related field (Master's).
