Test Engineer - Fresh Graduates (Master's/PhD)
Role Summary
Design, implement and validate automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for analog and mixed-signal semiconductor ICs. Work on ATE hardware, test program development, bench correlation and silicon qualification to ensure device performance and yield targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Suitable for fresh graduates (Master's/PhD) or candidates with 0–3 years of relevant semiconductor test experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include developing test strategies and executing IC test activities across hardware and software domains.
- Develop cost-effective IC test strategies covering platforms, hardware, software and instrumentation.
- Design ATE hardware interface PCBs and write test programs for IC testing and characterization.
- Bring up and debug ATE test solutions; perform bench correlation for analog and mixed-signal devices.
- Execute parametric tests on ATE with strong defect-screening focus.
- Investigate device and setup issues independently and drive to closure.
- Analyze silicon test results, perform statistical analysis and support root-cause and failure analysis activities.
- Support silicon qualification and qualification hardware development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver device success.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required.
- 0–3 years of experience in semiconductor IC testing on ATE.
- Experience with ATE hardware PCB design.
- Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.
- Hands-on experience with analog ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne ETS-88, ETS-364) or equivalent testers.
- Ability to debug test setups, perform parametric testing and correlate bench-to-ATE results.
- Capability to analyze silicon data and contribute to yield improvement and failure analysis.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering or a related field. The role is targeted at fresh graduates and accepts Master's or PhD candidates.
