Test Engineer - Fresh Graduates (Master's / Ph.D.)
Role Summary
As a Test Engineer at Nexperia R&D Malaysia you will develop and implement ATE test strategies and solutions for analog and mixed-signal ICs. The role covers test program development, ATE hardware design and bring-up, silicon characterization, qualification support and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience Level
Entry-level (fresh graduates). 0–3 years of experience in semiconductor IC testing on ATE.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining test strategy, developing ATE hardware and software, characterizing silicon and supporting qualification.
- Create robust and cost-effective test strategies covering platform, hardware, software and instrumentation.
- Design ATE hardware interface PCBs and write test programs for IC testing and characterization.
- Debug and bring up ATE test solutions to evaluate analog and mixed-signal ICs and perform bench correlation.
- Perform parametric tests on ATE with a strong defect-screening mentality.
- Diagnose device and setup issues and drive issues to closure independently.
- Analyze silicon results, perform statistical analysis and support root-cause and failure analysis activities.
- Support silicon qualification, including qualification hardware development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to device success.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- 0–3 years experience in semiconductor IC testing on ATE.
- Experience in ATE hardware PCB design.
- Familiarity with electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Hands-on experience with analog ATE platforms such as Teradyne ETS-88, ETS-364 or equivalent.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to independently drive issues to closure.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis on silicon data and support failure analysis.
Education Requirements
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field. Role targets fresh graduates (Master's/Ph.D.) with 0–3 years of relevant ATE experience.
