Systems / Software Engineer I Graduate

Role Summary

Design, simulate, and test VLSI components and portions of server architecture for prototype and production solutions. Work as a member of a VLSI engineering team, collaborating with internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective hardware implementations.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). Intended for candidates with 0–2 years of relevant VLSI design, verification, or implementation experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design portions of computer/server architecture and related algorithms based on established VLSI engineering principles.
• Create, simulate, and test VLSI circuits to meet quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Provide status updates and collaborate with management to resolve design and project issues.
• Participate on project teams with VLSI engineers and internal/outsourced partners to develop prototypes and production solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
• Experience or coursework in VLSI/digital design and verification.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting, hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog/VHDL), and EDA or FPGA tools.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with simulation and verification tools, prototype-to-production flows, or working with outsourced development partners.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience. Role expects 0–2 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
