Role Summary

Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and equipment. Based in Guadalajara (North Campus) and reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production test development.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role expects solid hands-on experience in test engineering and NPI; no specific years of experience are stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development, execution and maintenance of functional and diagnostic tests, test hardware, and associated software.

• Coordinate engineering and technical personnel on fabrication, installation, calibration and use of test equipment and data collection.
• Develop and modify test programs and instrument drivers (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, Perl).
• Design, build and support functional test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces; support card-edge diagnostic tests.
• Develop test plans, procedures, quotations and perform testability analysis (DFT).
• Analyze and interpret system- and software-level diagnostic failures; coordinate third-party test development and enhancements.
• Manage test KPIs and support personnel supervision and scheduling as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience to perform the role.

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer working with functional test equipment and NPI.
• Hands-on experience developing/modifying test programs and instrument drivers (Python, LabVIEW, Perl or similar).
• Experience with functional test hardware and interface design.
• Experience managing test KPIs and basic personnel supervision.
• Advanced English proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
• Availability to work the required schedule.

• Knowledge of ICT and the 4Q format.
• Valid visa and passport.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
