Test Engineer, DCC DAC

Role Summary

Work on test development and characterization for highly integrated mixed-signal devices (DACs, ADCs, references, amplifiers, multiplexers) through product release into volume production. The role partners with design and production teams to define test strategy, develop ATE programs and hardware, and support silicon qualification and failure analysis.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role calls for about 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with design engineers to understand device specifications and test requirements.
• Generate test plans and create characterization and production test programs and ATE interface hardware.
• Debug silicon on ATE and correlate ATE results with bench measurements.
• Analyze silicon data and support failure analysis and design validation activities.
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout; debug yield issues and optimize test time.
• Work with production teams to release products to volume manufacturing.
• Define and implement test strategies for DAC and ADC products.
• Develop qualification hardware and perform silicon qualification and characterization.
• Drive robust, cost-effective test solutions and ensure product quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Approximately 3+ years of relevant test/characterization experience.
• ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle 364 or equivalent analog ATE (examples: ETS 88, Smart Scale, EXA Scale, iFlex, LTX, VLCT).
• Characterization and production test program and hardware development experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic devices, circuits, and analog test techniques.
• Data analysis skills using Spotfire or equivalent STDF-based tools.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, and loads.
• Experience with yield improvement, test time reduction, and the IC product development process from concept to production.

Nice-to-have:

• Mixed-signal test techniques and experience developing tests on TI roadmap testers.
• Experience offloading test programs and hardware to offshore manufacturing sites.
• Programming or scripting in C/C++ and familiarity with revision control (Subversion, Git).
• Strong analytical, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
