Role Summary

Test engineer responsible for developing probe and final test solutions for battery monitors and protectors (power-management ICs) for automotive and industrial markets. The role spans lab characterization, ATE test program and hardware development, yield analysis, and release to volume production.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of relevant test engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test development, silicon qualification, and production support:

• Collaborate with design teams to interpret specifications and define test requirements.
• Generate test plans; develop characterization and production test programs.
• Design ATE hardware interface boards and qual hardware for silicon testing.
• Debug silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench data; support failure analysis.
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout; drive yield improvements and test-time reduction.
• Work with production teams to release products to volume production and optimize test cost/time.
• Define and implement test strategy for new battery products and ensure robust test solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• 3+ years of relevant test engineering experience.
• ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT); Eagle preferred.
• Characterization and production test program and hardware development experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices, circuits, and analog test techniques.
• Data analysis experience using Spotfire, dataPower, or equivalent STDF-based tools.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, electronic loads, etc.).
• Experience with product engineering tasks such as yield improvement and test-time optimization.
• Strong understanding of the IC product development process from concept through volume production.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

• Mixed-signal test techniques and experience developing tests on roadmap testers.
• Experience offloading test program and hardware to offshore manufacturing sites.
• Programming/scripting in C++, Python, or C#; revision-control tools (Subversion, Git).
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and time-management skills; ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements
