Job Title

Test Engineer (BGP)

Role Summary

Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for battery‑gauge and multi‑rail power-management integrated circuits. Work with firmware, product engineering, production, and customers to ensure test programs, hardware, and processes meet quality, cost, and schedule targets across development and release cycles.

Role focuses on ATE test program and hardware development, silicon characterization and qualification, failure analysis, and production release for mixed‑signal power-management devices.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Minimum 3 years of relevant test engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing and validating test solutions, analyzing silicon results, and driving production readiness.

  • Collaborate with design teams to interpret specifications and define test requirements.
  • Generate test plans and implement characterization and production test programs.
  • Design/define ATE hardware interfaces (load boards, probe fixtures) for test execution.
  • Debug silicon on ATE, correlate ATE results with bench measurements, and support failure analysis.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout and implement yield-improvement and test-time reduction actions.
  • Define and implement test strategies for DC‑DC converters and related power‑management products.
  • Support silicon qualification, characterization, and production release activities.
  • Drive robust, cost‑effective test solutions while maintaining product quality and schedule targets.

Requirements

Technical skills and experience required for success in this role.

Must-have:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant test engineering experience.
  • Experience with analog/mixed-signal ATE (Teradyne J750 preferred; ETS800 or equivalent acceptable).
  • Characterization and production test program and hardware development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic devices, analog circuits, and analog test techniques.
  • Data-analysis experience using STDF-based tools (Spotfire, dataPower, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, electronic loads).
  • Experience with yield improvement, test-time optimization, and product engineering processes.
Nice-to-have:
  • Proven test-program development on Teradyne J750 and/or ETS800 platforms.
  • Automated test hardware design experience (load boards, probe cards, fixtures).
  • Programming skills in C/C++, Python, and/or ATE languages such as IG-XL.
  • Hands-on analog measurement techniques for power devices (supply current, regulation, switching frequency, noise).
  • Knowledge of power‑management IC architectures and semiconductor device fundamentals (CMOS, BJTs, MOSFETs, bandgaps).
  • Familiarity with statistical process control, test-data analysis, and DFT concepts for analog IC testing.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
