Job Title

Test Engineer (BCP)

Role Summary

Develop, validate, and support production test solutions for battery-charger integrated circuits. Define required test coverage, balance test time and cost, and ensure robust product quality at scale.

Build and debug automated test programs on ATE platforms, design and review test hardware, perform hands-on lab debugging and correlation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support silicon bring-up, yield improvement, and transition to high-volume manufacturing.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Posting specifies approximately 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define test coverage and optimize trade-offs between test time, cost, and quality for battery-charger ICs.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain automated test programs on ATE platforms.
  • Design, review, and debug test hardware such as load boards and probe cards.
  • Perform hands-on lab debugging and correlation between bench measurements and ATE results.
  • Support silicon bring-up and troubleshoot device and test issues across functions.
  • Work on yield improvement, test-time reduction, and cost-of-test optimization.
  • Prepare test plans, release notes, and documentation for production hand-off.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test or equivalent role.

Preferred / Nice-to-have:

  • ATE experience on ETS364, ETS800, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to design and debug load boards and probe cards (component selection, schematics, signal/power integrity).
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices, circuits, and analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis using tools that process STDF (Spotfire, Mbayse, or equivalent).
  • Bench debug skills with oscilloscope, DMM, waveform generator, and electronic loads.
  • Experience developing qualification and characterization test programs.
  • Hands-on experience with mixed-signal/analog test methods (DC parametrics, AC, timing, leakage, noise, PSRR).
  • Experience testing power-management ICs (buck/boost, LDOs, battery chargers, protection devices).
  • Proficiency in at least one test programming language or environment (C/C++, Python, or vendor-specific).
  • Familiarity with revision-control tools (Subversion, Git, BitBucket) and statistical analysis for test data (limit setting, GRR, Bench-to-ATE correlation).
  • Strong documentation, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
