Role Summary
Design, develop, and maintain automated test programs and flows for production, characterization, and qualification of SoCs and ASICs using ATE platforms. Collaborate with design, DFT, product, and quality teams from early silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing to ensure test coverage, yield, and product reliability.
Experience Level
Senior - posting requests 8+ years of relevant experience (posting also notes recent college graduates may apply).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include developing test programs, debugging test flow issues, and supporting manufacturing ramps.
- Develop, debug, and maintain ATE test programs for production, characterization, and qualification on Advantest 93K or equivalent platforms.
- Process and convert design patterns into tester-compatible formats.
- Execute silicon characterization and validation across process, voltage, and temperature corners; analyze results to improve yield and performance.
- Work with DFT, design, and product teams to define test requirements and close coverage gaps.
- Optimize test flows to reduce test time and cost while maintaining quality.
- Correlate simulation, bench, and tester results; debug escapes and yield excursions during manufacturing ramps.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted separately.
- 8+ years experience preferred (see Experience Level).
- Strong knowledge of digital and high-speed test methodologies, scan/DFT concepts, and pattern processing.
- Hands-on experience with ATE platforms (Advantest or equivalent).
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, C/C++).
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and characterization methods.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience with SoC/AI accelerators, networking, high-speed SerDes; tester load board/probe card bring-up and debug; supporting high-volume production test.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or Master's (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; equivalent related experience is acceptable. The posting also states recent college graduates may apply.
