Test Engineer, ASC INT Logic

Role Summary

Responsible for defining and executing test strategy and programs for TI's Programmable Logic devices (TPLD). Works with design, systems, manufacturing, and IT teams to develop ATE solutions, validate silicon, and release probe and final-test processes into production.

Hands-on role covering ATE hardware/board design, test program development, silicon debug, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost-effective, production-ready test solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level - 3+ years of relevant test engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define efficient, reusable test strategies for product families.
• Collaborate with design and systems teams to ensure device specifications and testability; define DFT strategy to optimize test cost.
• Design ATE hardware and boards for package and probe test solutions.
• Develop and execute qualification, characterization, and production test programs on ATE platforms.
• Correlate ATE test results with bench validation and design simulations; analyze and debug silicon and test issues.
• Work with remote production teams to release probe and final-test solutions to volume production.
• Track and report test status and defects; own product quality while driving robust, cost-effective test solutions.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Must-have: 3+ years as a Test Engineer with ATE experience on J750HD, Teradyne Eagle or equivalent ATE.
• Must-have: Prior board design experience, preferably for ATE boards.
• Must-have: Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits.
• Must-have: Data analysis experience using Spotfire or equivalent tools.
• Must-have: Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Nice-to-have: Proficiency with IGXL test platforms (J750HD, iFlex, UltraFlex).
• Nice-to-have: Programming/scripting in C++ and Python.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with NVM test, device trimming, and test development in new product environments.
• Nice-to-have: Revision control experience (Subversion, Git) and demonstrated process-improvement skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering required.
