Role Summary
Design, develop, and implement test methods, fixtures, and diagnostic programs for analog/mixed-signal and RF products in ADI's Aerospace and Defense (ADEF) group. Support product development and manufacturing by validating performance, troubleshooting failures, and scaling test solutions for production.
Work within cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, automated test systems that meet program schedules and quality targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level β typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related and progressive experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing test software, designing fixtures, and supporting product evaluation and production testing.
- Design and implement test programs, plug-ins, and diagnostic routines to evaluate module and IC performance.
- Create test fixtures, equipment specifications, and test procedures for new products.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for production and validation.
- Analyze test data using statistical tools and present technical findings to engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Perform root-cause analysis on failures and recommend corrective actions to improve yield and product reliability.
- Plan test resources, schedules, and equipment requirements for evaluations and production runs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical discussions when required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, clearance, and experience.
- U.S. citizenship required (export licensing and security-clearance implications).
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
- Minimum ~2 years of relevant experience in electronics test, measurement, or manufacturing support.
- Strong electronics and circuit analysis skills; hands-on IC test and measurement experience.
- Proficiency in programming and development tools such as C, C++, and Visual Basic; experience with Python or C# is a plus.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (NI LabWindows CVI, LabView, TestStand, Keysight OpenTap, or similar).
- Familiarity with RF/microwave and mixed-signal test equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, phase-noise analyzers).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills; ability to present technical results clearly.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
